Yoga for Strength

Relaxation Yoga
The woman appears to be much older than the image the screen shows. She also cut her hair even shorter, so you do a double-take making sure you got the right video.

If you can get past the cheese factor (and there's a lot of it--music, facial exercises, clothing, and powerpoint-like transitions) it's not a bad video.

She pays a lot of attention to the body and makes it clear for those who struggle to keep up with quick movements and aren't too familiar with yoga. It WAS relaxing, so the video does its job.

Ballet Body Signature Series: Total Body

Awesome workout
I was so excited to try this new workout from Leah Sarago. I completed the whole workout, and it is awesome! I'd rather have a total body workout on one dvd than to have to piece together different segments myself. This workout is long-about 75 minutes-but the time flies.I felt every muscle was worked to exhaustion. It moves at a fast pace, but a controlled pace. I enjoyed every bit of it. I would rate this a high intermediate-advanced workout. I also love that there is no voice over in this one, as it seems more personable. The background music I would describe as remixed dance music. Different for a "barre" workout, but nice.I hope Leah comes out with more dvds like this one. I'd like to see her piece more of her segments in to dvd form, as I definitely feel challenged doing it myself. Love it!

Mixed Feelings
After just having completed this workout, I have mixed feelings about it. I do feel it is an effective barre workout with a lot of creative twists. I'm definitely feeling it in all my muscle groups. However, there are pros and cons for me.

Cons:
The workout clocks in at around 75 minutes. I have had very tough and effective barre workouts that are 45- to 60-minutes in length, and going over an hour makes it difficult to fit it into a busy schedule. Yes, you can break it up into parts; however, that rather defeats the idea of a total-body workout.

The white walls/floors are eerie and have a disorientating and disembodied effect. I would prefer a simple studio over this type of setting.

There was a terrible echo-like sound throughout the workout that was very distracting.

Pros:
Great music. Leah used upbeat, contemporary music with a lot of vocals. So many instructors/producers of fitness DVDs use such bland music, so kudos to...

I really wanted to love this DVD but...
I just don't! I have all three of her other DVDs and really love the upper and lower body ones. The core I didn't love, but thought I'd get there after awhile...when I heard the total body DVD was coming out, I preordered it from her website and counted the days till it arrived. I tried contacting her thru her website to figure out just where this DVD would fit into a rotation but never heard back...anyway. I have tried this DVD a few times and it's just blah. Not enough of anything to get a good workout in. I feel like she used all her best ideas for the other DVDs and this was just an after thought. It is too easy for anyone who workouts regularly, especially if you have been doing her other DVDs. I do plenty of other barre workouts that do work every part well, so it is not because there isn't time to work them in an hour - its that this DVD doesn't do it.

There are production issues as well (weird muffled music and she loses her voice/microphone issues) but I could...

Off-Season Greetings Part II [HD]

Love this show!
It's a fun show. He's the MacGyver of medicine which often cracks me up as he seems to almost always have what he needs in his bag. If you like realistic medical shows, I wouldn't recommend this one. But if you like fun and silly while often touching, then this is the show for you.

Keeps getting better
I started watching this series for pure relaxation. The first season provided just what I'd expected -- was quite fluffy, lightly comic, an easy "filler" for a night with nothing of value (to me) available on other networks. But I got hooked on the cast and decided to subscribe. Good call for me. Each season has pleased me more, with its growing intensity of plot and character development. (The show even cast a friend of mine in a small part, and what a surprise that was!) But this latest season...WOW. I'll keep subscribing to this show as long as it runs, and I hope it's in for a long run indeed.

I really really like this series
a very funny and very touching show. I like all the characters on this series Bravo!!!!!! It is very heart warming to see them solve medical problems using items at hand

Season 4 at last!
I am a 36 year old father who got into Samurai Jack through his son. I will admit that I am a big kid and love animation, but I am also picky and don't have time to waste on sub-par series. Samurai Jack is certainly a cut above most. From its offbeat theme song and stylized animation, you know you are getting something special -- and that isn't even taking into account the premise of the shows! My son even wanted to be called Jack for a several months, and has been inspired to learn the art of the samurai sword in his Tae Kwon Do class. All because of this series.

I missed most of Season 4 because of Cartoon Network's constant shifting of the show. I am not sure why it did not go on for another few seasons as it was always fresh and exciting. It is one of the few shows that really miss being able to see. We have the other 3 seasons on DVD and they were well worth the purchase price. Excellent stories, high flying action, and great characters make Samurai Jack a...

Domo arigato Jack... Sayounara

The Final Season. If you don't know JACK...SAMURAI JACK, that is, is the story of a young samurai warrior seeks to defeat the evil shape-shifting master of darkness, Aku who has destroyed his father's kingdom and imprisoned its people. During a climatic battle between Aku and the samurai, Aku sends the young samurai through a time portal into the far future where Aku rules the Earth. Called "Samurai Jack" by the inhabitants of this future world, he seeks a way to return to the past and undo Aku's horrible deeds while battling Aku and his evil minions.

Includes:

"Samurai versus Ninja"- Great light-play visuals as Jack beats a Ninja at his own game

"Robo-Samurai versus Mondo Bot" - What's cooler than a Samurai story, maybe a Samurai story with a giant fightin' robot!!

"Samurai versus Samurai" - It intros poser Da' Samurai w/ David Alan Grier & Great rain effects, nice balance of guest star comedy and...

the wait is over
Samurai Jack isn't a cartoon you just leave on in the background as you do other things. Its a show that demands and deserves your full attention. The majority of its dialogue is spoken through its images. This is art, anime, and cartoons at its best. A MUST HAVE. period.

Level E: Complete Series (Blu-ray/DVD Combo)

Hysterical
Level E is a smart, fun, twisted anime. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, my only regret is that it isn't longer! I have watched it in both the Japanese and the English, and I have to say Vic's Baka is brilliant. SO MANY VOICES.

Everything Vic promised and more!
If you've been to any of his con appearances lately, chances are you've heard about Level E, his newest voice acting role. I attended AWA 2012 and as soon as I had internet access I preordered this series. It is absolutely HILARIOUS! Prince Baka is all over the place doing crazy things and sometimes even having crazy mood swings. Even though it's a very short series (only 13 episodes), I would definitely reccommend it to everyone.

great condition
This item is just as advertised, I enjoyed the content. It shipped extremely quickly. I am happy to be able to add this anime to my list of favorites. thank you.

Weight Watchers: Yoga Starter Kit

Spectacular Instructor
If you are ever considering a new yoga practice - at any level of experience - Sara Ivanhoe is a spectacular instructor. She explains how, why, and when to breath and properly place yourself in postures. She is one of the few instructors I'm familiar with that consistently cue the breathe throughout the workout. The kit consists of a yoga strap and block, and is completed by two workout routines: "Get Moving" (primarily standing poses) and "Get Strong" (primarily mat work) on a single DVD. The only thing missing is a yoga mat. "Get Moving," will particularly appeal to beginners, because Ms. Ivanhoe takes the time to properly instruct the viewer in each pose. Personally, as an intermediate practitioner, I preferred "Get Strong" which had a little more of a flow between postures. However, all level practitioners will benefit from learning to integrate the block and strap into their practice to aid stretching and flexibility. It's nice to have choices to...

In Search Of... The Complete Series

Bigfoot, UFOs, Ghosts, Lost Civilizations, and all hosted by Leonard Nimoy?!! What more could I ask for?!!!
I am not old enough to have seen "In Search Of" in it's original 1976-1982 TV run, but I was first exposed to it as a kid via re-runs on A&E in the '90s, and then again on the History Channel in the early 2000s. I always loved all things weird, so the show was a dream come true for me. I especially loved the crazy synthesizer score, Leonard Nimoy's creepy voice narrations, and the campy re-enactments featured on the show. Many of the unsolved mysteries featured on the show have been "solved" since the show's original run. It didn't matter though; this show was just plain awesome. I was really disappointed when the History Channel finally stopped showing the re-runs. Years later, I was able to watch VHS rips of the episodes on Youtube, which held me over for a little while.

When I finally heard that VEI had secured the rights to release the complete series on DVD, I knew that my prayers had been answered. I am happy to say that I just received my copy of the boxset today and...

A very good, but very basic release for a classic TV series
I know there is a lot of enthusiasm out there for this set, and I share a great deal of it, but I can't help but walk away a little disappointed at the end result.

To be sure, it's wonderful to have the entire In Search Of... series on DVD at last. As someone who's avidly watched the website TVShowsonDVD.com and the IMDB for possible release information, it's been a long and winding road to get it to this point. And as a person who was fascinated by this stuff as a kid I'm very grateful that I could purchase it at all. While many of these mysteries have since been solved, or debunked, there's a wonderful 70's feel to the material that simply cannot be beat. The overall packaging is solid and the disc cases are robust.

However, the reason I marked the series down to three stars is that I feel these DVD's represent a pretty minimal effort for a series that deserved better. Sadly, this will almost surely be the only attempt to release this series on DVD...

The Best !! ( Full Listing )
Finally !! I've been waiting for this show to be available on DVD for a long time, I'm so happy right now !! If you are not aware, IN SEARCH OF... is simply one of the best TV shows ever made, a true classic. This show hosted by the legendary Leonard Nimoy was ahead of its time and documented various phenomenas that wasn't "cool" or en vogue like today ( UFOs, Ghosts, Serial killers, Cryptozoology, etc. ). Today there's hundreds of shows about the Paranormal or strange phenomenas, it's all over the place. But back in the late 70's - early 80's there was only one show who dared to talk about the Paranormal and other mysteries, and that was IN SEARCH OF...

On this set you'll find all the legendary episodes: Bigfoot, Jack the Ripper, DB Cooper, Ghosts, UFOs, the Loch Ness Monster, Jimmy Hoffa, the death of Marilyn Monroe, the disappearance of Michael Rockefeller, the Bermuda Triangle, the Amityville horror, Sherlock Holmes, and so many more. This is one of the reasons why this...

Omnibus: James Agee's Mr Lincoln and the Civil War

Royal Dano is fantastic as Lincoln
Royal Dano is Lincoln he gives an uncanny performance as a young Lincoln and also as an older worn out Lincoln Fine writing by James Agee and Direction by Norman Lloyd

Ominbus: James Agees Mr Lincoln and the Civil War
I was disappointed that it was a boiled-down version of the miniseries instead of the full version I remembered and was expecting.

It's okay if:
you like old black and white television from the early 1950's. Was hoping to see more of Joanne Woodward interacting with the Lincoln character, but you get very little of her. Its problem is the really old feel to it; as if a rehearsal is being filmed and it's not ready for the actual play!

Love the bears
Parents please make sure your preschoolers are watching the Bernstein bears--these sweet cartoons always teach a strong moral lesson in a way that my kids find engaging and funny:). They also instill a strong sense of love and family not commonly found in other cartoons. Much better than sponge bob for impressionable young minds:)

Entertaining
Great dvd with great values. I love the Berenstain Bears for my child, it teaches very good values and morals.

Survivor: Fiji - The Complete Season (5 Discs)

Loved it!
I really enjoyed watching 'Survivor Fiji', not sure why so many people rank it as one of the worst seasons. I've been watching Survivor for over five years now and went back to watch this season. I think it's one of the best. Yes, there are some double cross, and back stabs - but that is what this game brings every season.

Ranked at #23 but...
Even though its probably the worst season ever I'd rather watch this than watch a whole lot of other things so i say if you're a true Survivor Fan than u will buy this season even though its one of the worst so CBS please release the rest of the Survivors please !!!! GO ALL SURVIVOR SEASONS !!!!!!!!!

Survivor favorite!
I wrote a review for this under the wrong season but this is in fact the best season they ever had! Watch Yauman - he is brilliantly! Worth the money! Get this season and enjoy!

Love the show! Great production value and looking forward to seeing the full season! Interesting that the guy who gave the bad review also gave the review for the first dvd as well, if only he could spell.

Save ur money
Everything about this series was garbage.
The performances were strained ,
the sound sucked, and I wonder how people get money to make this kind of film.
So so sorry I purchased it.

Weight Watchers: Punch! 3 Complete Workouts

WOWSER! THIS SEDENTARY BOOMER CAN PUNCH!
I saw this "boxing in a box" kit on sale for $24.77 at my local Walmart this weekend, so, given it's New Year's and all, I thought, "Why not try this?" (This is the Dec. 2012 "model.")

I'm 65, have a sedentary lifestyle, and I am always trying to change that, searching for some activity I actually enjoy and will continue to do. Thus far, it has been more Holy Grail and El Dorado than reality. Just don't seem to stay with anything very long. The longer I do nothing, the less motivated I am to do anything. And so on and on.

Little did I know this was an intro to kick boxing. (LOL at self.) Put on the 1-lb. weighted gloves (they are adjustable, with Velcro, and would fit most users, from skinny to chubby wrists), popped in the DVD--and took off cold.

The instructor (Ms. Huckabee) was accompanied by two women, one of average size and one plus-size. This augured well for me, as I am plus-size. Right away I was confident that I, too, could do this...

Great Workout
I found this at my local Costco for $19.99.

I have to say I'm extremely happy with the DVD, but the caveat is I've only done easiest workout. I'm very particular about how and when cues from the instructor are given and these are great. The cues are given and timed to the beat so you step into the next move. It really helps make smooth and safe transition into the different moves.

None of the moves were joint stressful (to me) and I have a lot of problem joints, though if your strong/fit enough you could easily put more uuummmpph into your moves to get a more powerful workout.

I'd have given this 5 stars except the I found the velcro on the gloves could be chafing. Even when you get the velcro attached well, sometimes the edges of the velcro would chafe, so I highly recommend taking a few moments to attach and adjust the gloves really well.

Punch it out!
Picked this up on amazon cause Weight watchers no longer carries it and I wanted to give it a try. I'm a beginner at this type of thing and thought it might give me a way to get some arm toning in and an option to the treadmill. So far I've done the Level 1 on the DVD and its fine for me for now. I feel that it helps me work up a small sweat and feel like I've gotten a little movement in my day. I haven't tried the other 2 levels yet, so I can say anything about them. I'd say this is a good way to get started in something a little different and punch out your frustrations. The weighted gloves are good, not too heavy, just enough to tone a little. I would recommend this to others.

Rainbow - Stargazers DVD/Book

Surprisingly good and great value for your money, too
Like most of you out there who are fellow Blackmore aficionados, I looked upon this release with some trepidation, thinking this was going to be yet another half-baked "tribute" compiled with people of dubious authority waxing on about The Man in Black who had little or no real connection to the musician himself. I am glad to report I was wrong in my initial assessment. In fact, this was a most enjoyable FOUR DVD set---with a large 114-page book included---that features interviews with Joe Lynn Turner, Bob Daisley, Doogie White, Don Airey, Bobby Rondinelli, Neil Murray, and Graham Bonnet, not to mention several rock journalists (including Jerry Bloom) and producers. The entire history of the band Rainbow (with allusions to Deep Purple and Blackmore's Night) is included, along with some nice still photos and rare audio interviews of Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio, Jon Lord, and David Coverdale. The accompanying book has several quality photos as well as a few interviews that are...

GREAT STORY
EXCELLENT PRODUCT...DVDS A NICE TOUCH...IM A HUGE DIO FAN AND THEY CONCENTRATED ON THAT ERA VERY WELL...FAST DELIVERY ALSO....GREAT PRODUCT

Rainbow fans should enjoy this package
There's not much detail in the description of this book/DVD set, so it was a bit of a gamble to get it. But being a HUGE Rainbow and Blackmore fan, I pulled the trigger - and I'm extremely glad I did! This is a 'coffee-table' hardcover book - 11"x11" - that is sturdy, well-designed and quite handsome. It has four DVDs included in an ingenious individual sleeve system just inside the front cover. The book is 116 pages long, and is divided into two sections: the first section (the first 70-some pages) is a fairly good history of Ritchie and the band; the second section consists of six lengthy, previously-published (but today rare) interviews - three with Ritchie, one with Ronnie, one with Ritchie and Ronnie together, and one with Roger Glover - chronologically covering the period from '75 to '04. I found the interviews particularly fascinating and informative, but the history was very good, too, even if not fully in-depth (I did find a few factual errors, but nothing really bad)...

(2) FUTURAMA KARAOKE: Sing along with numerous classic Futurama musical numbers, with or without the original vocals.
(3) ALTERNATE ENDING: View episode 7ACV05, "Zapp Dingbat", with either the as-broadcast ending, or the original, never-before-seen ending that was changed before broadcast.
(4) Christopher Tyng's Big Score: Meet Futurama's brilliant composer Chris Tyng in his Studio
(5) FUTURAMA INFINITE LOOPS - Turn your TV into a Futurama Aquarium or Terrarium with Futurama-inspired wildlife.
(6) "TOO GOOD FOR TV" - A Treasury of Deleted Scenes

"It's Tragedy on a Bun!"
I've been anticipating this set for a long time and it's great to finally have these episodes to watch over and over again. Each volume has been stronger than the last and this is arguably my favorite of the new seasons. This time around we get to see Bender become a father (with surprising results), Leela get involved in the political process, Bender exploring free will, Hermes replacing his body with robot parts, and the entire crew as wild animals. Like any season, some episodes are stronger than others but there are laughs to be found in every one. We really get to see Fry and Leela's relationship on a deeper level and we learn more about the Professor's upbringing, as well as Zoidberg's affection for Hermes, who hates him in return. It's sweet, it's hilarious, and it's creative, all trademarks of the show we've known and loved for years.

The set itself is designed just the like the others, with the fold-out design and colorful images of the characters. I prefer to have...

THE GREATEST SHOW IN THE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!
Futurama is my favorite show, I cannot believe they are cancelling it. That is why I am posting this review, so I can be a supporter of the show and say "KEEP THE SHOW GOING!"

Here's Lucy: Season Six

Final Season Of Lucy's Being On Television For 23 Straight Years
At the end of Season 5 of Here's Lucy, Lucy made the decision to end the series when for the first time ever one of her shows fell out of the top ten ratings. At the last minute, CBS' President Fred Silverman convinced Lucy to change her mind and return for a 6th Season in 1973, as he felt being #15 was not too far out of the top ten. Lucy agreed, even though she also made a prior commitment to do the musical Mame that year. To get in shape for the musical Mame, after her fractured leg kept her from doing her famous physical comedy last season 5, Lucy worked out with a trainer daily. Lucy kept up with such a grueling schedule on getting her leg back in dancing shape, filming Mame and doing yet another Season 6 of Here's Lucy, that all this could not be believed from a woman 62 years old. Even though a young person couldn't keep up with Lucy's non stop schedule, Lucy's age and everyone else's age around her was beginning to show.

By the time Season 6 started filming, Lucy...

"The End of an Era!"
Well, we can thank the good Lord and MPI for putting all seasons of Lucille Ball's last official series on DVD. On December, 18, 2012 (just in time for Christmas) "Here's Lucy-The Offical 6th and Final Season" arrives on DVD format making all of Lucy's CBS sitcoms available for home viewing (Lucy's ill-fated 1986 ABC sitcom probably will never see the light of day as it was poorly produced and killed by that network and is not in demand by Lucy fans).

The final year of "Here's Lucy" (1973-1974) was a poor year for Lucille Ball as this marked the very first time one of her shows fell completely out of the Top 20 on the Nielsen charts. Fans chose "Monday Night Football" over Lucy making the series come in at a disappointing #29 on the year-end ratings. At the time it was announced by Lucy herself that she was quitting network television to pursue other projects, but the reality is CBS cancelled "Here's Lucy" due to bad ratings and attempt to attract a more urban audience...

23 Great Years of Lucy
Season Six marked the final year of Lucille Ball in a regular television series and it was truly an end of an era. Lucille Ball was the last performer from television's Golden Years to have a series in 1973-74. However, Lucy's ending is bittersweet; Lucy wanted to end her show at the end of season five (during season five Lucy's show was still a Top 15 show and Lucy was still was number one in her timeslot) but CBS' Fred Silverman convinced her to come back for another season. Lucy doing a sixth season was done more out of sentiment than desire. She was still at the height of her career and was getting ready to film Mame. Television comedy was changing with shows like All in the Family, MASH, Sanford & Son, Maude and Good Times and Lucy knew it. She always knew when to get off. The sixth season of "Here's Lucy" has many excellent episodes, i.e. "Lucy Gives Eddie Albert The Old Song and Dance," "Lucy & Joan Rivers Do Jury Duty," "Lucy and Chuck Connors," "Lucy Plays Cops &...

Ohio State Game Time 2012 Season in Review [with Urban Meyer]

Greatest of Birthday Gifts for a true diehard Buckeye fan!
I bought this as a birthday gift for my brother who lives and breathes The Ohio State Buckeyes!
He LOVES this DVD! I couldnt have gotten him a better gift! He really enjoyed the commentary provided by Urban Meyer.

Buckeye fans must have.
A review of a unique season with clips of each game and a summary of the season. If you are a Buckeye fan you need this in your library. Go Bucks!!

Great OSU Season, so-so video
This DVD is focused on the excellent undefeated 2012 season of Ohio State. ... and of course, the amazing Devon Smith one-hander is nicely featured. Though Buckeye fans are likely to enjoy this DVD and the highlights are well-selected, overall production values are generally poor. Please view the 4-star rating as one from a fan's perspective, rather than that of a video critic.

I will separately comment on the production quality, and the game summaries....

Game Summaries: The DVD presents highlights of all 12 games of the season, spanning just over an hour total. Individual game highlight summaries range from 3-7 minutes. The highlights are well selected from each of the games, and give a good picture of scoring plays, turnovers, and other significant plays. With only a few minutes on each game, however, no single game summary delivers much of a feeling for the individual game. Having said this, I would still expect a Buckeye fan will enjoy the game...

Another take on this terrible crime
Likely this triple murder will never be solved, unless the killer has a change of heart and confesses. There will only be the tragedy of knowing that three young men, little more than children themselves, were imprisoned for a crime they didn't commit. I do not know how people manage to live with themselves. The story of the West Memphis Three is like the Salem Witch Trials of the 18th century. You can read about it and think you've learned something. Then you open up a daily paper or turn on nightly news, only to see the same thing happen again somewhere else.

Great series...but I'm paying for this why???
Love these types of shows and this one is really good. Only problem is I can get this for free on Netflix and On Demand through my cable company. Too bad Amazon is behind the times. So many of these crime shows are free from other places that I just don't watch from Amazon where I have to pay, I go straight to the free places and enjoy the shows there. Please get up to date Amazon.

Sad statement...
I've seen several shows on this tragic subject - there are two (Lifetime?) movies about it as well. I must say, I find this story absolutely fascinating, and at the same time, I remain deeply disturbed - as much by the individuals at the heart of it as I am by the uncertainty that persists in the back of my mind that we, as a society, are somehow if not creating, at lease contributing to, generations of people like this - perhaps not to this extreme, but one need only walk out their front door to see how fundamentally people's basic human decency, kindness and consideration has changed - I have seen it in MY lifetime, and I'm not that old!

When I was young it was RARE a parent had to track their tween's and teen's every move simply in order to insure their safety! I never went through a scanner on my way to class in elementary, middle or even high school - the thought of carrying a gun - or any other weapon - to school would never even have crossed the minds of myself or...

Nature: An Original Duckumentary [Blu-ray]

excellent life cycle footage of wild ducks
one of the best films of the entire life cycle of American Wood Ducks, the most colorful of the N American duck species. very well done, edited and with up-close footage of ducklings leaping from tall trees, the annual migration headache of waterfowl, and the courtship rituals of these beautiful birds. great for science students, biology majors, birding clubs or natural history programs; Giamattis narration is subtly humorous and on point for the subject.

Ducks Aplenty
Marvellous documentary from PBS looks at some of the many types of ducks in the world, exploring their point of view, their evolutionary enhancements, and their sense of social structure. Highly recommended.

"Jack, stop playing with the moon! It's not a toy!"
It took me several days to write this review, seeing as how I'd have to admit to zillions of online strangers how much I love a kid's cartoon. I swear I don't usually watch this stuff! It's not my fault! I just can't stand any more reality shows!

All right, down to business. Other reviews have covered the basics so I'll gloss over them quickly. Four kids--Clay, Kimiko, Raimundo and Omi--are brought to a temple in China, to train as warriors and locate magical artifacts. These artifacts were de-powered and hidden all over the world thousands of years ago, but are regaining their magical potency one by one. The young warriors must find them before they fall into the wrong hands. Those hands belong to an evil boy genius, his nagging ghost mentor, and a host of other interesting villains.

The artifacts give powers to whoever is holding them at the time, and I have to applaud the creators coming up with such an assortment of pleasing things. They can let you talk to...

One Of The Funniest Shows On T.V.!!
I must admit, when i first saw Xiaolin Showdown I couldn't understand a word. Now it is one of my favorites!! I love how Jack Spicer is smart, and yet a fool. Also, I like how Omi can't talk right. Next, Clay's southern accent and metaphors are hilarious! Raimondo I like the most because he is always the one making jokes. And Kimico is a girly-girl, but in battle, she is fierce. Don't think this cartoon is all humor, it is also logical. Buy this DVD and watch the show on cartoon network!!!

THE BEST CARTOON EVER!!!!!
Ok ok, I'll admit that I love this show. I never admited it at first in front of my brother or he would rub it in my face.

I like the characters and the way that they have attitude! It's actually just the whole cartoon that is awesome. It's funny and it takes awhile, but you can actually get into the plot (unlike some where it takes like FOREVER). It's just totally and completly AWESOME!!!!!!!! Watch it!!!!

Keep those episodes coming
Love this show. Recommend it to anyone who's a fan of the charming Stephen Mangan and/or the charming Tamsin Greig. And if you're not a fan of those two charming, funny and talented British actors, you need to become one.

Just as good as season 1
This show continues to be funny, unique and interesting. The acting is great and I want to know what will happen in the next season.

Fun Fun Fun
Very refreshing. It's a nice mix of American and British style and that's what gives it a different feel. Can't wait for season three.

Family Matters [HD]

THE BIG C-- Another Excellent Season
If I did not personally know stage 4 cancer patients who are surviving year after year despite being told they are terminal, I would not believe that it was possible for this character to last three seasons. I am also a cancer patient but mine was thankfully caught at a much earlier stage. Nonetheless, the ups and downs she goes through, and the waiting to hear the results of the newest scan or blood tests--these are universal to all cancer patients and the show has them down perfectly.

Despite the above good news for cancer, it still happens that someone suddenly takes a turn for the worse and is dead in a matter of days. Kathy is always perched on that razor's edge, living from test to test but also having to live her life, whatever remains of it.

As marvelous as Hugh Dancy was last season, just as marvelous is guest star Susan Sarandon this season. She plays one of these self help gurus and Kathy wants to go to one of her seminars. All episodes with her...

Continuing Saga
As always, this is sometimes a "laugh out loud" show for me. I find it poignant
and frustrating at times. I would describe this season as being a
cacophony of stories that didn't always come together for me. I
was also put off by the amount of sexual content.

Yay
Laura Linney is amazing. The supporting cast is worth the trip. If you ever had breast cancer or any other life threatening disease the story lines help one appreciate the possibilities.

The Life & Times of Tim: The Complete Third Season

Tim!
This show is soooo underrated! If you love Seinfeld and Arrested Development-type humor, you will love "Tim." Although the last season I felt ran out of steam in a few episodes, it is still pretty funny overall. Definitely check out this show if you like to laugh!

Great show
I'm a big fan of this show. You can tell they're all sitting in a room together as they record this, cracking eachother up.

The Life & Times of Tim Review
I have enjoyed this dvd very much. It has some extemely funny story lines and I plan on buying the previous seasons also.

Gunsmoke: The Seventh Season, Vol. 1

It's Time For Full Gunsmoke Season Releases, CBS.
There are 14 seasons of Gunsmoke still unreleased on DVD (28 volumes). Bonanza and Rawhide are out in full seasons on the same day, by CBS, so please crank up the Gunsmoke output, too, as none of us are getting any younger!

One-Hour Episodes Begin!!
Can't review a product not yet released but can talk about the quality of the shows. Although it took a few episodes for the writers to adjust to the one-hour format & decide how to fill twice as much time, these are still classic shows...and soon the longer format allowed for more characterization and complex plots. The best news is that (so far) the studio is charging the same amount for the longer shows as for the 1/2-hour episodes. Also, they seem to be releasing them at a much faster pace. Hope they maintain both practices (doesn't seem that we'll see complete-season sets anytime soon).

hope I live long enough to see all of them
Love the series, grew up with it. Hope I live another 15 years to be able to watch them all again. Please put them out quarterly to accommodate us old folks.

Sincerely,

Nova Sciencenow: Can I Eat That?

If you like the Food Network shows, you'll find this DVD fascinating - and funny too!
"NOVA Science NOW" is a new offshoot of the long running PBS science series NOVE, produced by WBGH in Boston. Each of the 54-minute shows is divided into four or more segments, but the episode has one umbrella topic. I wasn't aware of the show until I received this DVD but, if the others are like this one, I'm already a fan.

The photo of a cricket (yep, an insect) on a fork which graces the cover may be a bit misleading. Yes, there is a five minute section where a chef actually fries a cricket as an appetizer, but what things we can eat is only a small segment of this show. I'll try to give you an idea of what's here but not spoil the surprises you'll find by watching it.

First off, the series is hosted by a guy named David Hogue. I'm never heard of him before but he is funny, in a satirical way. He's an "everyman" just like you and me, who is curious. And it's his curiosity that draws us in.

Thought it would have been nice if this DVD was released by...

Yardbirds - Making Tracks

A piece of history
I was literally "along for the ride" on the tours that this was filmed on. It is an honest document of what The Yardbirds sound like today and how the fans continue to react to this band. There is a great deal of love and respect for this music and those lucky enuff to see this line-up in small clubs and theaters around the U.S. should consider themselves fortunate. Of historic note this may very well be Chris Dreja's last tour. Chris suffered a minor stroke at the end of the 2011 tour and has not returned to the road since. The Yardbirds did tour in 2012 with only Jim McCarty remaining as an original member. Ben King is a worthy succesor to all the great guitarists that have graced The Yardbirds. Dont even begin to think of this line-up as some bogus tribute band...because that aint the case. Dave Smale is the overlooked gem of the line-up. Bass with an attitude. He is "The Face On The Bass"...lol Andy Mitchell is a real front man in the old Yardbirds style. He stands up there and...

Make time for this one
As Chris Dreja says " You either have it or you don't" this one has it. The band took their razor-sharp no-frills blast of raveup yardmerizing music to the stage in 2011 and delivered. Jim McCarty and Chris Dreja put one heck of band together with Ben King on lead guitar, Andy Mitchell on vocals guitar and Dave Smale bass and vocals. From the opening notes of I'm not talkin to the final of I'm a man.

This fifteen track dvd a treasure chest of rock and blues showcases the talents and skills of guitarist Ben King. Make no doubt about this is about as real as it gets. Making Tracks, will conjure up fond memories of great songs like Shapes of Things,Hearful of soul and For your love. For myself nuggets like drinking muddy water, Lost woman, Think about it and yardbirds centerpiece of the 1968 tour Dazed and confused come off fresh and new.

The new flock comes together like never before with Five Long Years a crowd favorite from the tour. The interplay of Jim...

Timeless music
Original members Chris Dreja and Jim McCarty get some young bucks to join the historic band for a 2 year tour. This dvd shows them in a series of different gigs. The new guitarist is HOT, and the band sounds fresher than they ever did with original cats. Amazing how relevant this music still sounds.

WWE: Raw 100 - The Top 100 Moments in Raw History [Blu-ray]

Dissappointed...
This set had great potential to be awesome, especially considering it would be after WWE has been allowed to use the old scratch WWF logo (No more blurring!) However, it's the format that kills the countdown. Instead of showing the moments uncut and in the entirety, it's all chopped up with kayfabe interviews thrown in. It's not what I was expecting or hoped for. Luckily, the Legends of Wrestling roundtable and the Raw 1000 episode salvage what is an otherwise dissappointing set.

Great Blu Ray! One of the best I have for WWE
Im not going to go over what is in the Listings, you can find that in other posts.

It was a great 100 Moments, yes they are chopped up and yes Kayfabe is involved, but it was still refreshing to see.

ANYONE ELSE SURPRISED THAT THE RAW WHEN KANE WAS HAVING LIGHTENING COME DOWN AND SETTING THINGS ON FIRE (LIKE THE WWE CAMERA MAN) WASN'T ON THIS????

I got this USED (Very Good) for $12.28 .. the quality looked BRAND NEW just without the wrapper

WWE: Raw 100 - The Top 100 Moments in Raw History

Looking Back At 1,000 Episodes
"The Longest Running Episodic Television Series" has been going on for over 1,000 episodes now & in celebration of that, WWE has released this set focusing on their top brand in "Monday Night RAW." This set is also unique in a way where it's actually different presentations put together as you get the countdown of the top 100 moments & the complete 1,000th episode of RAW celebration plus the Legends Of Wrestling roundtable discussing the history of RAW for the Blu-Ray edition.

Now I won't reveal the moments or order for those who don't want to be spoiled (you can read the other reviews if you need a list) but I will say that there isn't a host/voice narrator throughout the presentation & isn't different than how WWE has been doing their previous countdown sets (Top Superstars, O.M.G., Finishing Moves) where they are not showing the moments in full but highlights of the moments with a superstar commenting on the moment. WWE really loaded up this countdown in terms of the...

Love wrestling
Some of the best moments from Monday Night Raw. The DVD came in great shape, and I watched it all in a weekend. Terrific collection of memories

La Boheme

A modernistic production rather unfaithful to Puccini's spirit
If you have seen hundreds of La Boheme and now want to experiment with a modernistic production where the director takes too many artistic liberties of questionable intelligence then buy this DVD. But if you know the details of the score and the libretto and you have already educated your taste by listening to glorious productions of this opera (Pavarotti & Cotrubas; Alagna & Gheorghiu, etc), then I think you will find this DVD an ill-advised investment of time and money.

To my mind, a production should be recorded only if it adds something memorable, while also respecting the composer's intentions. I am struggling to find things worth remembering about this production. In theory, Anna's voice type should be suited for Mimi, but her dramatic and vocal characterisation of Mimi is unremarkable and somewhat bland. Her pronunciation and phrasing are particularly frustrating. Piotr is a fair choice for Rodolfo, but again, what is memorable about his Rodolfo?

I fear...

Worst of the Eurotrash
Anna Netrebko, Piotr Beczala, and Nino Machaidze, are at the top of my list as singers/performers. One would hardly expect that these three superstars would congregate to put out such a shoddy product. The best the promoters can say about this DVD is "This Boheme was the talk of the 2012 Salzburg Festival...." I can imagine what the talk was about. So much for Salzburg! I borrowed this DVD, and I am not buying it. Stick with La Scala, the Met, or the ROH. The odds are far better.

The Boheme to get is the one from La Scala, starring Cristina Gallardo-Domas, Marcelo Alvarez, and Franco Zeffirelli. It is excellent in every aspect: vocally, artistically, and technically. Cristina is fabulous. Thanks to Amazon, the price is unbeatable. One cannot afford not to buy it.

A Modern-Day "La Boheme"
Normally I do not like operas "modernized" (this one to 2012), but this version works. There are some problems in this updating -- for instance, in the subtitles. The great Russian soprano Anna Netrebko does not have "blue eyes" and Nino Machaidze, who plays Musetta, does not have "dark eyes". Why not switch these colors so they match the actual eye colors? Plenty of other changes have been made, both in the subtitles and in the staging of the opera. Nitpicks aside, this is a wonderful treat; Netrebko and Polish tenor Piotr Beczala are excellent, the rest of the cast very good, the second act is very colorful, and the ending when Mimi dies is heart-rending. I have three other versions of this opera, including the outstanding cinematic production of 2008 starring Netrebko and Villazon. This one is a worthy addition.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent: Year Nine

Why so expensive for so few episodes?
I do love this show but have a complaint about the fact that we are being charged as much for later seasons (7, 8 9)as we were for earlier sets. Earlier seasons were 22 episodes long and ran in the range of 960 minutes. These later seasons are about 690 minutes and fewer episodes. if the seasons are so much shorter the cost should be lower.

Shift Change...
The Ninth Season of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" opens with a catastrophic two-part story which results in the departure of detectives Goren and Eames, and their boss, from the major case squad. Their replacements are Detectives Nichols (Jeff Goldblum) and Stevens (Saffron Burrows) and a new boss (played by Mary Elizabeth Mastrontonio). The tried and true format of the series remains the same, as the detectives investigate unusual murders, smoke out the intent of the suspects, and try to wring a confession out of them.

Season Nine offers sixteen new episodes and a procession of interesting guest stars. The cases range from mob bosses to serial killers to revenge for old murders, and more. Perhaps most interesting, at least for some viewers, will be the evolving dynamics between the two new detectives. Nichols is the black sheep of a family of doctors, who sometimes seem over-educated for a detective. Stevens is a hardworking single mom, transferring in from the...

Now I recall why I stopped watching...
I'm a huge fan of the original Law and Order-but grew to love Criminal Intent- most especially watching D'Onofrio and Erbe's characters develop. But this season is terrible. Tragic of course in realizing that Goren and Eames were leaving- and then the writing went to hell! Most of these episodes make no sense. "Palimpsest" is possibly the worst-Goldblum overacts the hell out of it (which is nothing new) but there's no clear plot. Other episodes have the detectives telling a women's spouse that she's been cheating on him- the wife's lover is dead-they think her husband did it-so they confront him and leave?? Cue next scene and here's the police, remarkably arriving on time as said husband is beating his wife. L and O may not always have been sticklers for following procedure but this? All I could think if Goren and Eames had this case, they would've bent the rules if they had to, to protect the wive and find the killer. Add to this the pointless addition of Mastrantinio as Captain-who...

Tracy Reifkind, "Give and Take" A Kettlebell Swing workout for beginners

Allows for progression and growth
First, full disclosure:I learned my kettlebell technique by reading Tracy Reifkind's book "Swing". I followed up with a private lesson and the instructor said I learned perfectly. So I am a Tracy fan.
This video is like going to a class with Tracy. Although the workout seems simple, it works up a significant sweat and you can make it as challenging as you need. It allows for growth and progression as your strength and endurance improves. And it really works for both beginner and intermediate kettlebellers (is that a word?), but it is NOT an instructional video. Don't buy it expecting to learn the kb swing.
Now this is not a slick, highly produced video --the sound is a little tinny, the set is bare bones, there's no music and basically no camera work. And people in the video get really sweaty. But Tracy is funny and down to earth and doesn't take herself too seriously. The exercisers look like real people. And its a great workout which has helped me to get stronger,...

Love this DVD!
I love this DVD because it's a total swinging workout. There are no mtn. climbers, push ups or squat thrusts. Some mornings I just want to swing the kettlebell and this does exactly that. I do think that a better warm up should be included and I'm not sure why the "movie" part is needed but other than that I'm sure you will really like this one. FYI I'm 51 and 50 lbs overweight. I'm definitely losing weight and will update this when there's a significant loss!

Love Tracy Reifkind
This is about a 40 min. workout with a warm-up; it is a great workout. There is a front & back side that allows for growth and progression as your strength and endurance improves. The front side increases on swings while the backside decreases; so you can start off just doing the front side first or do both. If you have never touched a kettlebell before you might want to visit Tracys FB page for tips on form. If you are familiar with kettlebell form, you will love this & get a great workout.

Carbon Copy / Madhouse - 2 DVD Set (Amazon.com Exclusive)

"Madhouse" - a great COMEDY movie
This review is only for Madhouse- Don't confuse this with the awful horror movies by the same name. This is great comedy.

I really love this movie and have been waiting for it to come out on DVD. By itself, it is reason enough to spend the money on this 'double feature'. I had "Madhouse" on laser disc years ago but donated that collection to a library years ago. This is one of the movies I have not been able to replace on DVD until now.

- If you like John Larroquette,
- If you like Kirstie Alley,
- If you like seeing snobby yuppies getting taken down a peg or too,
- If you like cats,
- If you hate cats,...
Then this movie is for you. There is a hysterical running gag about the cat!

Now I can check off another one from my movie bucket list.

Mad House is hysterical!
I haven't watched Carbon Copy yet but I bought this for Madhouse- I used to have it on VHS and wanted it on DVD because I remember it being so funny...and it still is! Kirsty Alley and John Laroquette are a riot and this movie will certainly make you think twice about having house guests :)

madhouse
it about time they put madhouse on dvd. it a funny movie kirstie alley and john larroquette at their best.also john larroqueete second sight is good movie and kirstie alley sibling rivalry is good .if your look to buy 3 good movies i would buy these.if your a john larroquette and kirstie alley fan.

The San Francisco Giants: 2012 World Series Collector's Edition [Blu-ray]

Great set for any Giants fan!
Just got my set today and the video is gorgeous in full HD quality. In case anyone's wondering ... following is exactly what is on the 8th BONUS blu-ray (not DVD) disc:
- Walk-off wins (I think I counted five of them)
- Season Highlights: Pitching Highlights (excluding the Perfect Game which is on a separate disc), 20-Game Hit Streaks (Sandoval, Pagan, Scutaro), NL West Clinch Game
- Postseason Highlights: NLDS Games 3, 4, NLCS Games 2, 6, 7 (includes postgame celebration)

The other seven discs are as described in the product description. Each disc has multiple audio options: original TV announcers, Giants announcers, Reds/Cards/Tiger announcers. For the WS games and Cain's perfect game you even get a Spanish option. For a Giants fan it's actually kinda fun to watch the games with the Reds/Cards/Tigers announcers because it gives you a different perspective of someone rooting against the Giants. Lots of props to the Tigers announcers for their call at the end...

Game 5 vs Game 7
I was initially disappointed that the bonus disc is Game 5 and not Game 7 of the NLCS. But I just got my copy of the MLB Official 2012 World Series Film 2-disc set "World Series Champions" from amazon, and THAT bonus disc includes Game 7 of the NLCS. So if you purchase both, like I did, you'll have both Game 5 with Zito and Game 7 in the rain, plus all of the WS games.

Essential Set - But No Vogey Love
Look, I am a fanboy when it comes to these things. Watching this 2012 World Series Collection on Bluray makes this better than any of the discs on the 2010 collection. The picture is sharp and brilliant. The Phantom Cam - the super-slo-mo camera - is awesome (Romo's victory dances on the mound, Panda's 3 homers, Scutaro in the rain -- all iconic shots!) The 2010 collection only had every broadcast on the WS discs. Not here. Getting to listen to all of the broadcasts on the LDS & LCS discs is great, too - it's worth it just alone to hear the disappointment on the Reds and Cards sides. I love the fact that MLB added Cain's perfect game to the mix. I played the Spanish broadcast of Blanco's catch for my 10-year old daughter - she loved it.

However...

I would have preferred this set feature Game 6 of the LCS, Ryan Vogelsong's greatest game as a pitcher. Game 5 of the LDS was historic, sure. But along with Game 7 on the Official WS Film, and three of Cain's postseason...

Reality TV Star Bride

Amazing show
I absolutely LOVE this show...and the behind-the-scenes look at how things happen and all the untold stories are really interesting. David Tutera is soooooo good at his job and knows his stuff, especially how he keeps the bride (or couple, if the groom is really involved in the planning) first and foremost priority

My guilty pleasure!
I am well past "bridal age," but I love this show. David Tutera is so fun and engaging (pardon the pun). This is my #1 TV guilty pleasure.

my fair wedding is a fail now.
I used to love Davids show, the first 4 season were lovely. fairly godfather of weddings swoops in to save failing brides-to-be giving them the wedding of their dreams.(most of the time anyway) but this crap? what the hell is this? trash that's what! bridezillas wining about how David isn't doing what they want. this is the horrible overly dramatic shows i avoid like the kardashians, bad girls club, jersey shore... this unveiled junk is awful. i want to see the planning of a beautiful wedding not the b!tching an ungrateful bride of the next desperate house wives cast.

Phish: Star Lake 98

Buy it
Awesome show, I was there and have been waiting for this one to be released for years! Great 1.0 show! The lawn cameras add to the nostalgia of this show. With any luck Star Lake 1997 will be released.

Half a loaf....
This DVD, as the text says, was taken from the Pavilion's closed circuit camera system...and it shows compared to just about any other Phish DVD. It has that low def, grainy, VHS look to it. That being said...the band SMOKES. Personally, I think 1998 was the high water mark of 1.0 (and 2.0), and this set shows it. They're all still having great fun, they have the funk-infused groove, they're not too stoned or dysfunctional, and they open up with Bob Marley! Would have been a great show to see live. Audio quality and the 5.1 surround are superb. Excellent sound board recordings and mastering.

Runaway Jim alone is worth the price
Some great music throughout but the second set really takes off. The video quality is sub-par though so I can't rate 5 stars

It Came From the Depths [HD]

A Nice Blend of Action and Humor
So far I'm really enjoying the new TMNT series. I have seen the first 4 episodes so far and always look forward to watching another episode of the series.

I am a fan of the 1987 TMNT series and this one reminds of it, except to me done a little bit better. Also the action is good as the 2003 TMNT series, even though I was not as big of a fan for that series.

For those unsure of the series, don't be, give it a chance.

As for a sort of spoiler, the whole thing with Donatello having a crush on the now teenage April, I actually kind of like and look forward to being developed over the course of the series. And I know, there are those weirded with idea of 1. Having a mutant turtle being in love with a human and April being a Teen instead of an adult, but this is my opinion.

Again, give this series a shot!

Cowabunga!
I'll begin by saying that I was wrong. I'm of the generation that lived and breathed the 1987 Ninja Turtles. I first saw the trailer for this cartoon and thought it was a cheap CGI ripoff of the franchise.

But then I watched the first episode and fell in love all over again. It made me feel the way I did all those years ago growing up with the Turtles. Except, unlike the 1987 cartoon, which hasn't aged well, this show looks and feels fresh. The 87 cartoon was corny and the animation was often inconsistent at best. By contrast, the writing for this series is actually pretty decent for a cartoon. Each episode is self-contained, but I like how the build upon a larger story with some continuous characters and elements. The action is well paced but also allows time for character moments. Best of all, the show is genuinely funny. Not goofy, corny, "I can't believe I'm watching this" funny, but some real "laugh out load" moments.

I think this show has potential to...

Yay For Turtles!
I grew up on the old series from the 80's, and I watched a little bit of the 03 series as well, and to be honest I was a little wary when I heard that they were going to be doing a new series, but when I actually sat down and watched it I loved it. The creators obviously knew what they were doing when they started working on this, giving throwbacks to both previous series and the original comic. I would definitely recommend a watch to anyone. TURTLE POWER!!

Death's Door

A haunting Season 5 is well worth buying
Honestly, I think this was the most suspenseful season yet. It is great and you will not be disappointed. Have fun.

Quality has gone way down in this new season
I basically agree with 90% of the previous posters comments.I too was a huge fan of the past few seasons, even going so far as to write the broadcasting channel when it was announced that the show had been definitely cancelled sometime right after the end of last season.Quite a few people had started a sort of petition online, urging other viewers to write the TV channel requesting MORE.
Neddless to say, I was ecstatic to suddenly discover a new season of A Haunting in the new Fall programming, despite a change of channel.I dont know if the show is still done by New Dominion Pictures(who then used to sell the episodes ready to play to the TV channel) but right from the intro I could tell the quality had gone down an awful lot.The deep scary voice was gone, the visuals looked so cheap and fake...It has lost much of its credibility-or possible credibility- to the open minded 28yr old adult i am today.Maybe theyve gained a new, less discerning, audience with little kids...

A Haunting
I also like a good ghost story, especially when it is late at night. I enjoyed the plot as well as the characters. Unfortunate shows like this fail to have a long run because of the nature of subject, I recommend this series for those who do not need a night lite to sleep at night.

Jungle Gold: Behind the Scenes

Why is this title even here?
Amazon says it has "Gold Rush: The Jungle" in its streaming video, but this does not appear to be the truth. It says it has "Gold Rush: Season 4" which would be the same series. Yet all that turns up is this unrelated listing. Come on Amazon. Get your act together. Respond to my legitimate searches and stop wasting my time like this.

Really cool show
We stumbled across this show but are really enjoying the series. It is the story of two once successful but now failed US businessmen travelling to Ghana to get rich quick and pay off huge debts back home. Ultimately they are getting schooled on what real work and street smarts are. To make it in Africa you must have guts, be relentless, and be willing to lay your life down or take the lives of others. It is the wild west. These two suburban boys don't stand a chance but I do give them kudos for fighting and not going Trump and simply declaring bankruptcy and walking away from their responsibilities. They better be very fast learners or they are dead meat. A very interesting show and gets us out of our ridiculous bubble here in the USA. I cannot wait to see if these two guys will learn and grow or simply cower back home. 5 stars all the way.

Great show
If you like gold rush, and bearing sea gold you will like this show. My only complaint is there aren't more episodes I am hoping they come out with another season.

We enjoy every episode!
It is educational as well, we're learning cooking tips as well as business ideas.

Robert Is Fantastic!
This guy knows the business from top to bottom! Enjoyed this episode immensely!
Once you watch this series you'll be hooked!

These are Some Impossible Missions
Chef Robert deals with a lot in this series. I like these Season 4 episodes so far, they're polished. I note that the designer has wisely learned to avoid replacing floors unless really necessary. The shows now really focus on Robert's interactions with the restaurant owners. It's business coaching 101 and he's got a way of working the right away to make great TV and get the owners to respond.

It's human drama: it's people's lives and cooking. It's well produced and elicits a lot of emotions. When I see some of the nastier places, I never want to eat out again. But Robert's recipes and Tanya's designs are often quite inspiring.

Great family drama, great food, some good success principles about the importance of passion.

Enjoyed the series a real life look at doctors and how they do their jobs. I liked the episode I bought it. Too bad there are only a few episodes each "season"

One of a Kind and Fun to Watch
This is a very unique comedy special. Never seen anything like it. Comedians are asked to be 100% honest, relying on true stories and it becomes a kind of cathartic comedy event. I really enjoyed the pilot and looking forward to the future episodes.

Uncabaret is a gem!
Beth Lapides manages to coax the most honest comedy out of some of the funniest people around. It's a shame that we east coast people can't enjoy this live. Beth, come to Boston (or Providence).

What it is, What it was
The UnCabaret, Google it if you don't know. Watch this immediately if you do. Like Mr. Show? Listen to WTF with Marc Maron? Think that the Moth Radio Hour is gods own diary? Watch this and you won't be sorry. What the Comedy Store and The Improv were to Standup, and 2nd City and Groundlings were to Improv Sketch...the UnCabaret is to alt comedy. What a treat.

Trip to Asia: The Quest for Harmony

Candid documentary on life on the road
Candid look at the Berlin Phil's tour of the Far East including comments from several musicians who were going through their probationary period with the Orchestra. Very interesting. The reception they received from their young fans in Taiwan was something to behold.

Future Terrors [HD]

Ok, but where are the Maya?
This is a documentary with more in common with Ancient Aliens than National Geographic. It covers solar flares, pole shifts, and people buying guns to get ready for the end of civilization. It doesn't cover anything about the Maya. If you like Doomsday Preppers, you'll like this. If you want to learn about the Maya, keep going.

Doomsday or Not
Really enjoyed the documentary movie. Very interesting and answered a lot of question regarding the Mayan Indian calendar. I am not a doomsday believer so I take a lot of this with a grain of salt. But who knows, if some of the scientific and astrological information is correct we might see some sort of change in our environment after December 21st. We will see !!!

Decided not to watch...
Was going to steam this and watch it but decided not to. Arrived as ordered. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Get Extremely RIPPED! and Chiseled Exercise & Fitness DVD

Good but Flawed
I have to say up front that I really enjoy working out with Jari Love. she is a supportive, encouraging instructor and she knows her stuff! I have almost all her DVDs and enjoy the balance between cardio and strength training. This one fell a bit short for me. You will get a good strength workout, but be aware that there is essentially no cardio. This is not a bad thing, you just need to be aware of what you're getting.
she uses tried and true exercises, no fanfare, but the reps seem to go on forever. Even the women working out with her in the DVD seem to get a bit tired of doing the same move ad infinitum. You will feel the muscle burn but I got bored. Also, in the cons category the "background" music seemed a bit too loud and was obtrusive.
still if you can push past the distracting music and repetitive repetitions, this might be one for you.

Love Jari...
Great workout. Not boring and very challenging. This workout does remind me of her older dvds. I surely felt sore the next few days.

Like having a personal trainer at home!
Challenging workout! I love that most of the exercises simultaneously work at least two body parts plus your core. Note that while there's a "lower body" and "upper body" segment to the DVD, both halves work both parts. I actually had to go buy lighter weights since I couldn't complete all the reps of some sections (like the anterior raises). It would be helpful to have a step bench, but I use a milk crate that works great for the seated exercises. The other reviewer who commented on the repetitiveness has a point, but reps bring results. Without the video, few of us would do this many push ups or dead lifts on our own. I have been doing this a couple times a week since it came out in December...still not bored yet and seeing/feeling the results - great return on investment!
